80 segmentsThis is episode number 8 of The Homeowner's Show. Whether you're DIY or looking to hire, we're here to help you find the best information and options for you and your home. I'm Craig Williams, and there's nobody here with me. I'm, I'm all by myself. Kevin's supposed to be here, but he is slacking off elsewhere, and when he gets back, he's gonna have some serious questions to answer about where he's been and what he's been doing. And seriously everybody, he's, he's gonna have to answer some questions. And if you don't help him, he's probably gonna be in trouble because as we all know, he is not creative enough to come up with an excuse that I will probably buy.
So here's what you can do. Help Kevin out. Go to our Facebook page for The Homeowner Show. And see if you can come up with a good excuse for Kevin, 'cause we all know the one that he has is not gonna be good enough. No, welcome to the show today. We are doing a short episode this week, and that's mainly my fault. I had some scheduling conflicts to where we could not get together, and, but honestly, the main reason for that, I wanna give a shout out to some musicians, to the Last Bandoleros and Johnny Lang. I had the privilege of going and seeing them in concert last night at the House of Blues And let me tell you something, um, if you, you've probably heard of Johnny Lang, uh, who is one of my favorite blues
guitarists, um, but if you have not heard of The Last Bandoleros, uh, let me just cue you into something that's, uh, that's pretty good music out of San Antonio, Texas. These guys, uh, capture Texas country, Tejano music, and what I would call classic Beatles rock, and they just have a really cool unique sound, and they did a killer job opening for Johnny. And, and Johnny, as always, his, his band was great, he was great, his vocals were just phenomenal, uh, his show was awesome, and his guitar playing was just incredible. I love, love, love getting to see that guy play. So shout out to those guys. We'll link them up if you haven't ever heard their music, or if you're just not a music person, allow me to introduce you to some good
stuff that will definitely need to be on your playlist coming up. But that's, that's my That's where I was, and so that was why we didn't get a regular episode out to you guys this week. So if you have not subscribed to the show yet, you can go ahead and hit the subscribe button there in iTunes. You can follow us on Stitcher and Google Play and any other place that you might be able to listen to podcasts across the world. You can also find us on Facebook. and Instagram, and now Twitter. But we're also up on YouTube where weekly we put up the videocast of the show, and we'll also be putting the audio up on YouTube now as well. So you'll be able to get both of those there on
YouTube. Again, we recommend the audio because on the video, we ugly. Yeah, but we're so glad that you guys could be with us this week, and we wanted to bring you guys up to speed on some stuff that's coming up on the show that we're really excited about. We have 3 brand new episodes 3 experts that we are really excited to put in front of you guys and interview and get details for you about how you can better improve your home, repair your home, take care of your home, and do all the things and be informed about being a better homeowner. Or maybe you've never owned a home and you want to, you want to have a better idea as to what it means to actually be a homeowner. These are great episodes for you because
these are the things that homeowners constantly have to be concerned about, watchful of, and paying attention to. And so right off the bat, we have a roofer coming in. And if you have never had to replace a roof, let me tell you, that can be an unpleasant experience if you are unprepared for that repair or replacement. And so we have a roofer coming in to talk about how you can be prepared for that and what you need to have ready in your mind to deal with, to deal with this problem. I've had to actually deal with this issue twice now. And thankfully it's been a pleasant one. So we wanna bring this guy in and have a conversation about roofs. We're also bringing in a landscaper
and these landscapers are interesting because these guys kind of have seasonal issues that they have to deal with going from season to season. And so we're gonna bring him in and we're gonna talk about landscaping and we're also gonna be bringing in a real estate agent. Now this could be really interesting for you guys because sometimes you're ready to sell your home, sometimes you're ready to buy a new home. And it's always changing what you need to have ready, how you need to be ready for the photographer, how you need to be ready to have, you know, your furniture set in just the right way, and your home needs to be staged. And then, you
know, even the way that your home smells is very, very important and crucial because, you know, there's first impressions when people come in to buy the home and things that you need to be paying attention to that maybe sellers are trying to mask when they're selling their home that maybe you can have your radar up and ready to be aware of. And so we're bringing all those guys in and what we want from you guys are questions. We wanna know what is it about these things. Remember, we're having a roofer, a landscaper, a real estate agent. The next 3 episodes are gonna be chock-full of information. We wanna make sure and get the information that you want on the show. And so if you would, you can either go onto iTunes and leave a review and leave a question
there, or you can go on Facebook or Instagram or Twitter and leave a question for us there. But please, you know, let us know who left the question so that we can give you credit for it on the show. We want to give you a shout out on the show and, you know, and let the, uh, the specialist know who asked the question, uh, and just give you a shout out on the show. It's— it would mean a lot to us if you would write in and send us some questions, the things that you would like to know, uh, either from a roofer, from a landscaper, or from a real estate All right. Uh, and as always, uh, you can go on Amazon and buy
our t-shirts that help support the show. Uh, and whenever we have a guest on the show, go and visit their website, go and ask them questions on their places of contact. These guys want to hear from you. They want to field your questions. They want to be a help to you, the homeowner. So we, we thank you guys. Um, this has been a new and exciting adventure for Kevin and I, and we are so appreciative to everyone that has tuned in, downloaded, and listened to the show. Uh, you guys have exceeded all of our expectations. Uh, the, the numbers have been phenomenal, and, and we are so excited that you guys are listening and continuing to listen to what we bring to the table and the questions that we ask and the information that we're putting in front of you and that
you are finding it useful. And let us know how we're doing by going onto iTunes and leaving a review there. It's really, really helpful to us as we try and improve the show and try and make it better for you. Because you are what this— is what this show is all about. We want to make this show specifically for you so that you get the information and you get the ideas and you have everything that you need to be the best homeowner that you can be. Again, we're just— we're completely blown away and thankful for each and every one of you for tuning in and listening. Yeah, we're just, we're beside ourselves with excitement with everything that's
going on. And so we hope that you continue to ride along with us on this journey and that you hang in there with us as we bring you more and more information. And if there's a specific topic that you're interested in hearing about, we will go and find it for you. We have some interesting topics already in the back of our mind and some people that we want talk to. But if there's something on your mind that you really want to hear about, that you think is really important to have more information, and, and for us to go and find the expert who can, who can bring you that information, we'll do it. Send it to us. Again, you can, you can send that either through a review on iTunes, on our Facebook page,
on our Instagram, on our Twitter. And again, you can always go to our website at homeownershow.com and leave us a message there, or you can always email us at info@homeownershow.com. Again, sorry for the, the short show this week, but we appreciate you tuning in. Kevin will be back next week with a great interview. We're going to be interviewing our roofer, and we hope that you can be with us then. And until then, have a great week, and we'll see you then. Bye. Bye.
