Special Episode: That time we talked about Mexico Beach Florida

Hey everybody, and welcome to a special edition of The Homeowner Show. Thank you for tuning in. We have just been made aware of a situation in Mexico Beach, Florida. As many of you remember, Hurricane Michael came through there and destroyed lots and lots of homes. homes and people's lives. And if you're here in Texas, you are aware that the Gulf Coast is going through a rather unusual cold snap, which by the way is a good opportunity for you guys to start thinking about how to prepare your home, create warm spots for your pets and your plants and bring them inside, heat lamps, all kinds of different stuff that you guys can be doing and thinking about as this cold snap approaches. But one of the

other things that you can be thinking about is these families who have lost their homes also lost all their clothes. And so with this unseasonably cold time, they have no coats. And so we want to gather the homeowners community and see if you guys can help us get some coats to these families and kids who are about to go through a really, really cold, uh, cold snap. So what we are doing is we are partnering with Excalibur Pest Control, who has agreed to any coats that we gather here, that we will ship them as fast as possible as we can. We have a contact over there in Mexico Beach that we can get these coats to. Or one of the more efficient ways is we have an address that we're gonna have in the show notes as well as up on our

Facebook page and our website that you can go on Amazon and have the coats shipped to this particular address. And that person will make sure and get those coats distributed to families there that are in need. And we will respond to you and answer any questions that we have. We'll have links up for that address so that you can get those things sent to those folks. We're gonna link up all the groups that you can donate locally to, to help out some homeless folks and some people in need that are gonna be experiencing the cold weather here as well.
